New edge types (plain/line)

Add "plain" edge, crossing will overlap, no going under.

"line" edge will merge the two threads into a straight line ( see http://www.gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=4962&p=71462#p71432 )

Maybe some of these can be implemented using the plugin system.
