Feature Req: Disable pen input
I ask about this on the assumption that the Remarkable tablets work as any other device that uses emr input by Wacom, in which the tablet consumes a little bit of energy even on idle while it waits for a pen input. That power draw is very little in comparison with the power it draws while the pen is close to the screen but I wonder if battery life could be increased significantly with an option to disable pen input temporarily, and be only in a "reader mode", for reading ebooks etc where we don't need to make use of the pen.
Maybe the energy savings are negligible but I have a Samsung Galaxy Note that has similar Wacom emr technology and pen input is disabled automatically while the pen is inside the phone compartment to save energy so maybe it's worth looking into this.
