I am having this problem as well. When I first ran the build this happened for every question. Then It worked for a while (20 mins). Now I'm back to it throwing 400 status.

So I figured out my mistake, and it was a pretty dumb one. I increased my temperature above 1, which you cannot do as 1 is the highest you can go. You can only set the temperature from 0 - 1. Once I set it back to one (or lower) I stopped getting this error and everything worked great.

@karimkawambwa to which chunk size amount exactly did you set it up to?

@karimkawambwa What might be an adequate chunkSize value?

Hi, @hxsmyxh! I'm Dosu, and I'm helping the gpt4-pdf-chatbot-langchain team manage their backlog. I wanted to let you know that we are marking this issue as stale.

From what I understand, the issue you reported was about the request failing with a status code 400. It seems that multiple users have experienced the same problem. One user found that the issue was caused by setting the temperature above 1, which is not allowed. Another user resolved the issue by reducing the chunk size and re-ingesting the data. There is an ongoing discussion about the appropriate chunk size value.

Before we close this issue, we wanted to check with you if it is still relevant to the latest version of the gpt4-pdf-chatbot-langchain repository. If it is, please let us know by commenting on this issue. Otherwise, feel free to close the issue yourself, or it will be automatically closed in 7 days.

Thank you for your understanding and contribution to the gpt4-pdf-chatbot-langchain project!
