[BUG] Apps behaving unexpectedly

Open Samsonality opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

What Mac are you using?

Macpro late 2013

What version of macOS are you using?

12.x

Are you using OpenCore Legacy Patcher?

No

What is your issue?

Hi there,

I can't for the life of me figure out why. All my apps and things work fine without Kryptonite and Egpu. When I turn on the Egpu. It overall works fine. Except for major apps like Logic Pro X and Quicktime. Among other apps have trouble loading. They bounce in the tray and in force quit the say "Not responding". If I wait they do eventually load and everything works normally. They just take a painfully unusual amount of time for them to load. It has something to do with Kryptonite and Egpu app acceleration I think. I used purge-wrangler and never had this issue. This issue doesn't happen when I use a normal computer monitor connection. Only Kryptonite and Egpu.

Cheers,

I hope you can help!

A very odd issue. Kryptonite is only responsible for enabling eGPU support. It should not affect how it’s used. However, there are plenty of Mac Pro users who have successfully used Kryptonite, so I am unsure what the problem may be on your end.

Sorry for being unable to help. I would suggest retrying setup and if that does not work, it would be best to stay on purge if it still works fine for you. I more than likely suspect some macOS issue. I’ll think more on it and keep this issue open meanwhile.

Thanks for the reply at least. There’s nothing maybe in Kryptonite .phlist file settings I could alter that would have to do with Egpu app acceleration or something?

Cheers,

Chris
