When I open simpmusic, there's a notification saying that new update available. when I download and try to install it, it shows that installed. But the app is still the older version. So is that mean I have to uninstall the current one and install again? And if I do that, will I lose my playlists? Please answer my question. I really love this app.

That issue should be fixed in the Nightly build. You can download on the readme. Also, don't uninstall the older one before installing the new one.
