Elephas installation Problem

Open samasalam opened this issue 3 years ago • 7 comments

Hello I face a problem when installing Elephas using pip install elephas, pyspark is installed with all of its versions < 3.2. It said that he is trying to find the best version that meets the requirements. He installed Kersa, tensorflow but the process proceeded and no progress happened. What should I do? I'm in great need of this library. Note: The attached picture shows what is happening as I tried many times and a number of pyspark versions are cached in memory. What are the requirements needed before installing elephas? please I'm a beginner and I need details about Python version, Spark version, etc.. Many thanks for your help. Sama sama

I am having the same problem.

I tried installing pyspark as first package to avoid all of this, but then it downloads and caches all tensorflow versions, each patch of each minor.

It's really difficult to test Elephas in these conditions. Hope it'll get fixed soon.

Let me take a look, maybe we need to pin the dependencies for Pyspark and Tensorflow. Sorry for the delayed response!

I was able to install elephas successfully on a fresh environment with Python 3.8. What versions were you guys testing?

I cannot installl on python 3.10.6 with Ubuntu 22.04. It says:

Building wheels for collected packages: numpy Building wheel for numpy (pyproject.toml): started Building wheel for numpy (pyproject.toml): finished with status 'error'
