Unable to add interfaces using vconfig

This is due to the fact that uml_mconsole is not provided with the full path to the mconsole file and is unable to find it by itself. The bug does not affect other commands using uml_mconsole (e.g., vhalt) because the full path to the mconsole is used in those commands instead.
