iOS 14 Home Widget not controllable

Using HOOBS (a bundled installation of Homebridge and its web interface) I'm connected to my Bluetooth thermostats.

I'm unable to set a temperature from the control center widget (or the home app), I need to use automations. Is this intended or is this a bug?
