BerryBoot freezes on RPi Model B Rev. 1
Problem Description
BerryBoot freezes when loading Wifi drivers and when using a wired connection, during the setup of the SD card.
The mouse pointer cannot be moved and one has to power off the RPi.
The problems is reproducible every time, with or without the WiFi dongle attached.
Freeze during Loading of Wifi Drivers
Selecting the radio button "Wifi" in the "Network connections" area opens a new window with the text "Loading drivers" and a progress bar. After around 10s the system freezes.
Sometimes the text in the pop-up window switches to "Waiting for wifi device to appear".
Freeze during Wired Setup
Clicking next on the first screen, then selecting the memory card (mmcblk0) as destination results in a freezed system while the memory card is getting setup.
Setup
The first version of the RPi is used, i.e. Raspberry Pi Model B Rev 1.
BerryBoot version "berryboot-20190612-pi0-pi1-pi2-pi3" is used.
Optionally the Wifi dongle "Edimax Technology Co., Ltd EW-7811Un 802.11n Wireless Adapter [Realtek RTL8188CUS]" was attached.
Two different SD cards were used to make sure they are not broken (both work with NOOBS). They both were formatted using different tools and operating systems to make sure they are formatted correctly.
The SHA1 key of the setup file was verified to make sure the "berryboot-20190612-pi0-pi1-pi2-pi3" archive file was not corrupted while downloading.
I am getting the same issue on my raspberry pi 4 4gb, using a wired connection. It keeps freezing on the set up pages saying that it has no connection and i then cant use the mouse or keyboard. Sometimes it does show as i have a wired connection but then goes funny saying no usb wifi dongles installed.
