Feature Request: truly monospace spacing

Monospace font isn't enough to allow viewing ASCII line art, as some use for diagrams. I was sent a .txt circuit diagram by an AI agent. It does display correctly using some text viewers.

TextPad does not display it correctly. It seems as if non-leading spaces are narrower than the MonoSpace character cells. I have attached a screenshot. Notice that the left edge of the art does seem to align correctly. I would guess that leading spaces have been special-cased, already.
