Autosave that works / Crash recovery

I just lost almost half an hour of progress to a random crash. As someone who used this app as a note-taking tool, the lack of an autosave system that is on by default and is robust to random interruptions is a glaring shortcoming for a text editor.

Suggestion:

At frequent intervals, next to the original file (or in Simple Text Editor system directory if that is not possible), save a file with a set suffix. For example, while editing a file called notes.txt, it could save autosaves called notes-20240913-1948.txt if it autosaved today at 7:48PM.
