I wish for a (reliable) scroll to item function.

I am using a google map to let the user click on icons in a map, where data_table_2 shows me the data which has been clicked on. Problem is, there are no "scrollToItem" function in datatable2. I think that would have been awesom. It should have options for animation also when implemented.
