This is supported in Zed with the changes in https://github.com/zed-industries/zed/pull/7404.
Closing this issue since the feature is available in Zed 0.122.2.
We're not looking to add any more built-in themes to Zed at the moment. We may revisit in the future, but for now we're letting the state of themes evolve...
