after some use breaks input on i3

After using for a while and quitting all keyboard inputs get messed up. For example up arrow would move the terminal cursor up, tab would act as backspace, 3 would be #, etc... This is probably a problem with xmodmap or i3 but it shouldnt be doing this. The problem went away entirely when i didnt launch it and uninstalled it.
