AVerMedia Live Gamer 4K (GC573) not detected as input device
Version: ShaderGlass-1.2.2-win-x64
ShaderGlass for some reason does not seem to detect my AVerMedia Live Gamer 4K internal capture card
OBS and other applications can detect it without issue.
ShaderGlass uses a different capture API than OBS (MediaFoundation instead of DirectShow, which is also why OBS Virtual Camera isn't showing) which is supposed to be lower latency. I'd be surprised if this card didn't support MF though, I use LIVE STREAMER ULTRA HD GC571 myself. Are there any updated drivers/firmware or settings on this card that could influence this? And does it work in Windows built-in Camera app (which also is MF-only)?
I am on the latest drivers and firmware released for this device. And you’re correct, it does not show up on the Windows built-in camera app.
So for now I should just assume that this device is currently unsupported?
Yes, I'm afraid so. DirectShow support might get added to ShaderGlass in the future, but there's no concrete timeline yet.
