UI crashes when any option is selected

The advanced button shows up on the vr console and when clicked the main advanced setting menu comes up but if you try to select anything it crashes the UI and gives this message:

I hope this project is still being maintained. There haven't been any commits since August and issues are several weeks old without being acknowledged or addressed. This is such a handy tool that you might consider placing it in the steam store and getting something for your efforts.

I've been having the same issue. I know matzman is still around, he released an updated VRInputEmulator a week or so ago.
