background color on section pages

Thank you so much for putting this together! I have a question: in an older version of the mtheme, which I am using on another computer, section pages were automatically produced with a dark background (see first screenshot attached), but in the new version on my current computer, the section pages automatically appear with light background.

How can I switch the background color of the section pages, separately from the background canvas color? I looked around the documentation for a long time and tried various changes myself but without success. I currently use the following options:

\usetheme[titleformat=allsmallcaps,numbering=none]{metropolis} \setbeamercolor{background canvas}{bg=white}
