You will most likely need to contact the service associated with that token and start the account recovery process they have. Usually they provide backup codes when you enable the 2nd factor but this is not always the case.

If you're comfortable posting the name of the service I can help look up what they offer for account recovery options.

@FernandoSobrinho1987 I'm sorry to hear you lost a token!

As Beau said: the service that issued you the two-factor token should be able to help you recover access to your account and get a new token. Many services issue backup or "recovery" codes when you set up two-factor authentication, and others may have another method of gaining access, such as via a code texted to a backup phone number. Most websites and services will have support documentation somewhere that specifies their particular process for account recovery; if you feel comfortable sharing what service you lost a token to, I would be happy to help look for account recovery information.

Another potential recovery method would be to restore your phone to a backup made prior to deleting the token, but a) this requires that you have a recent, encrypted iTunes backup of your phone, and b) this would erase any other changes you had made to your phone since making the backup.

The latest version of Authenticator will now ask for additional confirmation before permanently deleting a token, in the hopes of preventing this sort of accidental deletion in the future. I'm sorry this happened to you, and I hope you don't have a difficult time regaining access to your account.

If you can also help me out, I would appreciate it greatly!

Hi @mattrubin,

Have you ever thought about adding a "recently deleted" stuff? I think it would be better to have a three-day (for example) regret time when deleting an item.
