Support Resource
I think it would be helpful to publish a link to a Go-GTK resource (mailing list, forum, wiki, etc) where users can find/contribute help with using the library. If such a resource exists, it might be helpful to provide a link for it on this github page, because I can't seem to find anything.
Such a resource could also provide the developers with a little more perspective regarding how users interact with the library.
Personally, I've experienced several issues and I'm not really sure where to go for help.
It would have been nice with a forum so we could have some fast paced discussions about how to go about things
I would be willing to set up a forum on my domain; however, it would have to be something like http://go-gtk.craigmatthewweber.com or some such.
You can do that if you want to. I can make a link to it in the readme. Or better yet, you can add a link yourself and do a pull request =)
Currently, I have a simple forum setup at http://craigmatthewweber.com/forums/go/go-gtk/ I haven't administered a forum in many years, and never a WordPress forum, so please feel free to make suggestions about improvements, etc.
That said, you should probably try to log in and make sure the behavior is as you would expect before we publish it in the README.
I get the "page not found" page
Sorry about that. Try this: http://craigmatthewweber.com/forums/forum/go/go-gtk/
Looking good. I added a link to the forum in the README, in case anyone wants to debate...
Cool deal. Could you throw up a post containing links to any relevant projects (including yours) that use go-gtk that might be interesting? Or something like that to get the conversation started?
tbh I don't have any interesting Go projects at this point. I was hoping to use Go for some of the projects I do at work but I can't see it happening any time soon. I'm stuck with QT and .NET :/ Maybe I will have more time to spare on go-gtk in a few months. There is a few things I would like to fix though so I'll try to make a few threads about those issues when I can find the time
