Experiencing some odd buffering/freezing of streams after updating from Kodi 19.5 to 20.1 (Didn't happen on 19.5)

I have this issue with the Samsung TV and Paramount Plus addons. I am not sure if the issue is also present on other addons as I only use those.

Sometimes when this buffering occurs, the picture will just freeze and I will have to stop the stream and start it again to get it to show up again. I experienced this on 2 android TV devices running Kodi 20.1 after upgrading them both from Kodi 19.5 within the same day and other people in my family have reported the same issue.

Can anyone else confirm this stuttering is also occurring for them too? and is there any useful information I could potentially provide to get this solved?
