Widevine L1 not working whatsoever on google certified Rocktek G2

Attempting to use Widevine L1 results in no video or audio in Kodi on Android TV, despite native Disney+ working perfectly fine with 4K.

you have turned off dolby vision etc to make sure its not trying to play unsupported formats?

I can see its all detected as L1 OK and the widevine server is happy. So suspect its trying to play a format your tv doesnt support. In the add-on settings, you should be able to disable them

Yes, I have already tried that, I tried disabling Atmos, Vision, and HDR10, none of them made any difference.

does other Widevine content play in Kodi?

matthuisman avatar Dec 08 '25 21:12 matthuisman

I tried the sample video from the SlyGuy repository and that didn't play back, so no, other widevine content doesn't play back, however widevine content plays back with L3, however I need L1.

Ok, so I suspect could be inputstream.adaptive issue which handles the widevine playback You could raise an issue on its github: https://github.com/xbmc/inputstream.adaptive
