ERROR:Unable to open raster file: No such file or directory

When I try to print from macOS towards the CUPS server the error message in the print queue is ERROR:Unable to open raster file: No such file or directory. Any ideas?

What kind of printer did you use? How is it connected to the PC? How did you install it / set it up? Which version of CUPS are you using? Which OS version are you using? What did you try to print and how? What do you mean by "message in the print queue"? Apart from the error message, what other messages do you get?

Which OS version are you using? Ubuntu 18.04 and I did apt update; apt upgrade What did you try to print and how? I connected to the printer from macOS. Using IPP. The address of the cups server and thenpribrer name in Queue. It seem to have foundnit since the blie button on the printer lights ip briefly when I try to print. What do you mean by "message in the print queue"? It was displayed uner Jobs in the cups web gui. Apart from the error message, what other messages do you get? State in jobs is set to stopped "Unable to open raster file - : No such file or directory" Macos sais ”stopped on server”

@jensolsson were you ever able to get past this? I am having the same issue... three years later.

I'm using CUPS on a raspberry Pi and finally found the issue for Unable to open raster file - : No such file or directory. I selected the Raw Driver on Cups and the correct driver in MacOS. Modify printer -> Continue -> Continue -> Select Another Make/Manufacturer -> Raw -> Continue -> select Raw Queue -> modify printer/add printer
