I've started to run into this issue as well. Surprisingly, the config repo containing the pipeline with the problematic role isn't the repo GoCD is erroring on, instead it's failing...

I would love to be able to define my own favorite colors for peacock. Would you be open to guiding / accepting a PR for this?

I had a couple of projects using a similar script that worked without issue and recently started return 404 errors as well.

I ended up fixing this by updating the kubernetes library - seemed that the server was updated by GCP causing the change in behavior.
