I have a work comp that I don't use the appstores on. Could we get the Apple downloads and windows downloads made available in the releases again? Many thanks, keep up the great work! ❤️
The signed Windows builds are currently available on each release, e.g. here's v0.7.0. We are currently not publishing the signed Mac Builds on releases. TBH, this is because signing Mac builds automatically is a total pain. :)
One thing we are looking into is the possibility of publishing unsigned Mac Builds automatically, as part of our revamped build workflow. cc @cpanato
In the meantime, you can generate your own Mac app builds, either locally, or by cloning the repo and running the build-mac workflow as a GitHub Action.
I'm definitely curious to hear more from others about environments where the Mac App Store is disabled. Is this a common setup for work environments? My own experience is Macs don't work very well without all the connected services.
I also have a work mac that has a much more restricted app store (I would guess the requirement of an Apple ID is a big reason, since you don't need one for any other reason). It'd be great to get the Mac binaries uploaded like the exe's are.
