UX: Let users easily undo / remove auto-added table rows

Open chenilim opened this issue 3 years ago • 8 comments

Summary

Repro:

  1. Edit the title of the last row in a table view
  2. Press Enter
  3. A new row is added
  4. But there is no way to easily undo / delete it if it was unintended

Propose: Pressing Escape or Enter on an auto-added card with an empty title should remove the row.

How important this is to me and why

Importance: Medium

@wuwinson I can take this if no one is working on it (already looking into it actually :)

@shadybotros Assigned to you!

Requirements

  • For a newly added row/card on table view, pressing Esc or Cmd/Ctrl + Z will undo the added row/card.
  • If the user types content into the card title after creating the new row, pressing Esc will only clear the content on the card title, and will not undo the added row. In this case, user must use Cmd/Ctrl + Z to undo the added row/card.
