#137 adds to the tooling the features needed for renaming packages while providing a seamless transition to end-users.

We could have a single changelog file with each entry in that file specifying which package of the recipe it applies to. Would that work for you?

Thanks for the suggestion. I believe auto-updates are enabled if and only if the `update-engine` systemd service is enabled, so it should be possible to check this in a script....
