It would be nice to read default options from a configuration file (e.g., ${HOME}/.check_ssl_certrc).

Alternatively, the defaults could be specified via environment variables (this is already possible for example for testing purposes, e.g., the grep binary can be specified using the ${GREP_BIN} variable).
