YAML syntax highlighting

Hey there, Matt. First off, I love the theme you've built and I'm thinking of making it the theme for my tech-centric blog I'm standing up. It's great work you've done so thank you first of all. I am finding YAML syntax highlighting in markdown doesn't seem to be applying. I'm no web developer (nor experienced with HTML) so I'm not sure if this is something that has to be manually tweaked or not in the theme. Or if this is truly an "issue". Any advice?
