@Ressy66, thank you for reach out to us. For the tested zone, Zonemaster queries all name servers found in delegation or zone. For the reverse, a normal lookup is done....

That could be a work-around, but that is not documented, and it does not handle settings by "--test" (see updated description above). And it is more complex for the users.

I cannot see any relevant difference in the CDS and CDNSKEY RRsets, respectively. This has to be investigated.
