001-ssh.sh: SSH doesn't list hosts in "include" file listed in .ssh/config

I manage all my hosts through site-specific .ssh files which are in a directory that is set as an include in my primary ~/.ssh/config file as:

include config.d/*

SSH doesn't appear to follow includes...it would be amazing if it did! It's otherwise not able to help me.
