TBS 2603au PCB and Update
Hi,
I found this really interesting github by googling to have more information about my TBS 2603au device. Thanks.
I was quite surprise that TBS devices are some sort of hack of the LinkPi.
Unfortunately TBS seems to not follow the release of LinkPi. For example with my 2603au, i never found new update since I bought it one year ago and actually, the firmware version in my 2603au is higher than the one we can find on the website :/

Do you know a way to create a backup of the actual firmware ? And how to restore it ?
And since the 2603au is based on the Hi3520 chip, do you think the latest versions from LinkPi will work on it ?
Here a picture of the PCB :
Thanks
I wouldn't expect the V2 board being anything other than a redesign of the original "sandwich" design of ENC1...
It might flash fine to any recent LinkPi version of the software but you will likely loose NDI functionality if you use 20220424 or newer. When NDI5 was first included they changed the license keys schema and old keys no longer work.
Dumping the old firmware isn't too complicated as long as you have root shell access.
Actually, the root password is the same as for the LinkPi devices.
Do you know how I can perform a dump ?
The "root" password for LinkPi's no longer work for Firmware !2.6.0 build 20230928"...

try linkpi.cn
Just a quick comment - I haven't seen an update that touched the /etc/passwd part, so in any case you can first do a full flash of the old version that uses a known password and then do a partial flash/update which should bump the frontend and backend leaving the OS part intact.
