Drag an drop to change notes order

Hi,

I don't know if you have plans to implement this, but would be nice to change order/position of a note by simply drag an drop.

Thanks.

Hi @gusarg81 There were a couple of requests to implement this feature (There was even a proof of concept), however I am not sure if it is so necessary.

Most people who expect this feature, is that they really think in a Kanban application, and in this application they are just notes. What is really important is the content of the note to remember things, and you have the title, labels and colors to find them quickly. What's more, the search by text is extremely fast. I tested it with 5,000 random notes, and still is perfectly usable.

If you think that having two notes next to each other would be important to contextualize these, Keep in mind, that if the screen is smaller, the notes instead of being in a single row, these will be distributed in several rows. Therefore your preferred order will not be respected. So let's say it's finally impossible to get it right. :disappointed:

I have pending adding order by creation, last modification and title. but now is unlikely that I add the ordering by Drag and Drop. Sorry...

Well, at least order the Notes would be a good feature.

Also, I didn't asked this because I need a Kanban app, I already developed one for that. Just asked this because even if this is a "Quick note app", if you have many notes is "difficult" to find the note you need other than search and if is quick notes to "remember" something, for example in my case, I would not be using the search feature to find a note because maybe I don't remember the title.

Just a thought...

Hi, Just to make it clear. It is not among the priorities, but it is not a completely closed topic either.

Re-open for future reference....

Would love drag and drop. Looking to replace Google Keep. :)

This feature would perhaps not necessarily demand something as advanced as drag and drop functionality ....but for all things holy, there must be some convenient other way to adjust the order/position of the notes, rather than "creation, last modification and title".

From what I have noticed even the order of how cards has been shared messes up the order for the other users. Also i did not notice that title seem to change anything, but that last shared, last modification and creation does. I think this app otherwise is absolutely wonderful. This particular feature would once and for all replace Google Keep. So glad to read above that matiasdelellis decided to not make this a closed topic.

I would also be happy about a drag & drop solution. As already described, it can also be a manual solution using arrow buttons.

But it would be very important to be able to sort the notes differently. E.g. by title, modification date, creation date

My favorite is sorting with the modification date

This would be great! I use the Quick Notes app for something completely different :) I create a note for everytime a climb a mountain (different types of climbing, hiking etc..) add 1 picture, add the date, with whom I went and where as simple Text (but have a color for each person so I can filter), add tags for the year (so I can filter based on year) and a tag for the type of mountaineering.

Unfortunately there is no app or so for this, there are some, but you can only add a trip when you are at the top of the mountain, which is useless because I want to add my previous years also..

So in one word, this app is great for this!

But ... Sorting would be amazing! Because I add also trips from 2-3 years ago, and then these are at the top. So last modification would help, because then I can fake-modify the earlier ones...

Thanks!
