\left\Vert \frac{}{} \right\Vert doesn't work in firefox

Hi. This could be a firefox bug, since things appear to work in chromium. I don't know how to assign blame here.

I'm using a very recent build of Firefox on Debian GNU/Linux. "firefox" package version 98.0-1. I'm using the latest release of MathJax: 3.2.0.

I have the problem boiled down to

\left \Vert \frac{a}{b} \right \Vert ^2

The problem: the vertical bars aren't rendered. Like I said, this appears to work in Chromium. And it works with other delimiters (like parentheses). And it works with a shorter body: without the \frac. A demo instance: http://mrcal.secretsauce.net/tst.html Navigating there with Firefox should reproduce the problem.
