mf2pt1 instead of mftrace

I'm curious if anyone's tried mf2pt1 to convert .mf fonts to Type 1 fonts?

Sorry for the long delay in responding.

We have not tried mf2pt1. It looks like it is worth a try, however. We will be redoing the fonts during our version 3 rewrite, so will give it a try then.

Can I check if you gave this a try, and if so, did it have any discernible effect?

We have not yet done the rebuilding of fonts for v3, so haven't yet done anything about the font production tools that are used. That is coming in the new year.
