Populate the About page with repo and contribution info

It would be cool if the about page gave a brief overview / goals for the project and pointed to the README and/or contribution info.

I'll come back to this one once I get the repo to satisfy all requirements for my mini project I'm working on ;) Feel free to go ahead with it if you get the chance in the meantime also.
