Misformatted decimals on non-stoichiometric compositions

Open janosh opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

The website doesn't display non-stoichiometric compositions correctly: Screen Shot 2021-11-19 at 11 57 42

I modified the first period following Mn:

- 4<span>.</span>264
+ 4.264

to render correctly. Originally looked like the not-subscripted dot following Co.

Fascinating bug, thank you!

I'll check to see if it's still present, it may have been fixed. The demo app (app.crystaltoolkit.org) will likely be re-directed to the MP app in due course which is updated more frequently.

Update on this issue: I suspect this is probably because we're using a unicode subscript, to avoid having to directly pass HTML tags (which is either unsafe, or a bit more involved in constructing the label). Should be a straight forward to fix however. This is also observed in oxidation state labels.
