Abbreviations

The GNU standard allows abbreviations, so e.g. if a script supports a --foobar argument and no other argument beginning by --foo..., one can specify --foo instead (presumably --foob should do the trick too). Source: https://www.gnu.org/software/libc/manual/html_node/Argument-Syntax.html
