How to keep sections in left sidebar collapsed?

If you visit the blog page on my website you'll notice that by default it's expanded. Is there a way to prevent this from happening? Also, a toggle button on sidebar icons would be helpful.

+1. Yep, would be good if the side sections could toggle open and closed.
