Option to re-block all sites once break period ends... but not automatically start next pomodoro

Open Bortseb opened this issue 9 years ago • 4 comments

I say, "but not automatically start next pomodoro" because then if I am not at my computer the next pomodoro will just start(And will therefore be meaningless). I want to intentionally initiate both my breaks and work periods... but for the break to end and then automatically re-block all websites... if I get in the zone working however, I don't really want to be told: "Hey! Its break time" in this same way.

For procrastinators like me, this would mean the difference between this tool being effective, and me just being able to easily cheat by having infinitely long breaks.... When I zone out, I will never think to get back on task... but if all my web pages suddenly became blocked, then that would be a great reminder to me to get back to work.

Agree :) The next major version of this extension is gonna have this feature and require a next-work-cycle or I'm-all-done signal at the end of a break cycle… but my dumb schedule has prevented version two from landing for a good while now >_< I'll update this issue once it lands—maybe this summer?

Is this an open source project? Or its just you?

I actually want to get into making chrome extensions myself... but haven't had a good place/way to start out...

Anyways... another feature I would request is a way to show the notifications pop-ups permanently until I intentionally close them.... So that they are a constant reminder that can't be missed.

It's open source and also just me :P But I don't really have time to pass the project off, either, because that has its own set of organizational time commitments that I can't make right now :/

This would be a huge help for me as well, as it's really easy to just not start the next work phase after the break phase ends. If there's any way I can contribute please let me know, I love this tool!
