Issues about Pearson residual calculation in contingency tables

Dear authors, After reading the results and methods of this paper, I felt confused about the Pearson residual calculation. In Figure 2A, the FDR of each cell type was calculated but no detailed methods about it. How did you calculate the p-value for each cell type? Did you use Partitions of method or other test methods? I am interested in it. Could you help me? Many thanks in advance!
