Open external links in split screen option

The great RSS feed app Feeder ( https://github.com/spacecowboy/Feeder ) recently introduced that it opens external links in split screen, on larger devices such as tablets. It's an awesome feature. Mastodon to an extent fullfills the same use case as an RSS reader in its way to share links, articles, etc. An option to open external links in split screen would greatly improve the app, for devices with larger screens such as tablets or foldables.
