Additional clarification needed: local/remote post visibility on trending link feeds

I noticed that configuration[timelines_access][trending_link_feeds] in the Instance response has separate properties for access to local and remote posts even though timelines/link doesn’t seem to support local or remote params.

Does this mean there’s no way for unauthenticated clients to request link timelines on a server where access to local posts in those feeds is set to public but remote posts require authentication, or vice versa?
