I made an alternative suggestion in this issue [78](https://github.com/revanced/revanced-patches/issues/78#issuecomment-1209108024) might be a sufficient workaround for most people (including me)

ok that's not really old but it's possible that they still rely on cast v1 on roku because it doesn't have google play services (because it's not android) most plausible...
