Connecting to online servers

I haven't been able to join any servers and when I put the correct ip in it says unable to make socket broadcast capable

That message doesn't matter, you are probably trying to connect to quakeworld servers or you don't have the required map to join the server. Most servers need the full game.

I put Pak.1 in my id folder inside ctrquake

So shouldn't I have the full game? Haven't seen any post on how to excel put Pak.1 in id folder
