i literally cannot get past this black screen

Are you launching through the 3dsx or CIA? Where did you put the game files? Did you make sure to add the extras.pak? Are you using the demo or full game? If you're playing the full game, did you make sure to switch the full game installation on steam to pre 25th anniversary?

The game works perfectly fine for me and a lot of other people
