Adding Device Kills Current Audio Output
First of all I am not sure this is a pa_dlna issue but here is what I have seen . First my environment Fedora 28 Use Amarok as music player 2 Chromecast Audio devices 3 'Smart' Samsung TV's 2 Chromecast Video devices
I start pa_dlna and it attaches my Chromcast audio devices which are all ways powered on . I start Amarok and get some music playing via one of the Chromecast audio devices . I turn on one of the TV's and its attached Chromecast Video devices .
pa_dlna sees the TV and the CC video device .
The music stops.
Amarok thinks everything is fine Pulseaudio volume control shows the CC audio device still playing tcpdump shows network traffic to the CC audio device
but silence
By adding the following to the pa_dlna start up the problem is negated
--filter-device 'Den,Porch,DenPorch'
those are the 2 CC audio devices and a CC audio 'group'
Just tried it on Linux Mint 19 with pa-dlna instaled from the packet manager and cannot confirm.
Tested: Running some music Started pa-dlna manually which added some devices Switched on another DLNA device which gets added as audio device No interruption of sound. Only on the first case, the playback automatically switched to the latest found source but could repeat anymore afterwards.
