Performance concerns

Hello, I try to capture a constant but significant traffic, around 6Gbps. dpdk utilities work fine but tcpdump with dpdk support drops likes 5-15% of the pkts because of extra copies and syscalls.

Before I try to update your tool with recent dpdk, how much did you evaluate the performance? Did you have packet drops?

Ciao, It depends mainly on your disk... we tested with 10-12Gbps... But we had several raid0 ssd disks...
