Issue while gaming

Open adibmikey opened this issue 3 years ago • 8 comments

Hello, I was reaching out because I am having a small issue. I went through your tutorial and it took a few tries but I got everything to rotate properly, EXCEPT for when I boot up a game. When a game boots up, it's still sideways. I tried the modifications again and again but can't get the game to rotate. any help would be great.

thank you for your time

May I get more info, what game and what emulator you are trying?

Well, it appears to be an issue with retroarch. I've been trying the emulators pre-installed with retropie and everything seems fine until I boot up a game from any emulator. Even attempting to rotate through retroarch does nothing.

I would ask you to copy all settings of retroarch cfg and try again. As I just do everything again on a new SD card, it works for me.

I am currently running into the same issue. Followed the instructions listed with RetroPie v4.7.1 and everything to a T on the wiki. Even the option screen aspect ratio settings. The terminal starts sideways then corrects itself. The Retropie boot screen is also sideways, but Emulation station is displaying properly. The real issue is when ever I try to boot up Retroarch it is 90 degrees to the left. If anyone here has found a way to fix Retroarch please let me know. I was also able to get the safety shutdown script installed. There is an issue when I restart via menu that the controls no longer are recognized, but I belive that is a GPI/RetroPie issue. Also if anyone can link me to a rom-less image I would also appreciate it. I figured the MatePlus was going to involve a little tinkering but this is ulcer inducing.

I think you must missed some part of tutorial. plz make sure you both modify cmdline.txt and also config.txt.

Hello

I have the same problem with the congig screen of Retroarch. Everything is ok but Retroarch stills 90 degrees to the left.

The text that goes to retroarch.cfg, does the whole block have to go to the end of the file?

Thanks!

it is the bug of retroarch itself. I think i did make report already. Maybe You can also report this issue to RetroArch development team.
