[FR]: Visual indication options for feeds that have a post-processing script

Open RetroAbstract opened this issue 1 year ago • 5 comments

Brief description of the feature request

This feature would allow the user to easily see which feeds they've applied a post-processing script by adding the option to:

  • Toggle post-process script feeds highlighting ("[] Highlight feeds with post-processing script") somewhere in the settings with the ability to set the highlighting color
  • Toggle a symbol shown next to the feeds with a post-processing script in the feed list with perhaps the ability for the user to set their own symbol ("[] Show symbol next to feeds with post-processing script: X")

The visual indications would also appear in the article filters menu if enabled.

There would also be an indication by default specifying if a selected feed has a post-processing script applied or not in the feed info's section when a feed is selected when "Keep article viewer always visible" is enabled, which would look something like this:

I should maybe (just maybe) set some kind of limits on how many tickets may each user open per year.

Sorry for the very large amount of tickets I've opened recently, I'll dial it way back.

  1. The highlight color should highlight the TEXT of the item or "background" of the item?

Also note that showing pp script info in feed details box is already implemented.

I'd say let's go with highlight color that highlights background of item and see what it's like.

Yes.
