Videos go black when resetting transition timer

Describe the bug

Videos go to black when resetting the transition timer.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

When I take the example:

and change the library version to be > 8.1.2 e.g. 8.1.6

the videos go to black when the transition timer is reset.

Expected behavior The video should stay visible.

Note: On an Android Webview, also the images go to black after the transition. So it seems timing related.
